Mexican Modern artist Rufino Tamayo lithograph limited edition. Signed "Rufino Tamayo" 18/99 at lower right, untitled image of a standing woman. Rufino Tomayo was born of Zapotec Indian parents in Oaxaca, Mexico, in1899 and died 1991.The photograph showing the bio was taken from an exhibition pamphlet entitled "Tamayo" at the Harcourts Gallery, 535 Powell Street, San Francisco, CA, where this image was purchased by our consignor. Tamayo is considered the foremost painter of Modern Mexico, and has had many exhibitions including a 1988 one at the world famous Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia, Madrid, Spain.This lithograph is beautifully framed and double matted, and iis n excellent original condition.The frame measures 32 inches wide by 39 and one half inches high. The image measures 22 wide by 29 and one half inches high.
