Jack Youngerman Modern Art mixed media works on paper print c1981

Item # 5166

Jack Youngerman Modern Art mixed media print c1981 Title: Mandala. This contemporary print is signed at the lower right and dated. The signature is illegible. The print is on handmade paper. The central whorl was pressed out to create dimension. The print does not photograph well under the glass, so please view the detail images. The print measures 37 and one half by 36 and one half inches. This is number 55 out of a series of 75. Excellent condition. This email was sent to us by a collector of his work. "The "illegible" signature is "JY" for Jack Youngerman (b. 1926).The Silkscreen, Pochoir, and Intaglio on Arches Paper print is from a series of editioned works published in 1980 by Transworld and printed at NYIT. The dimensional nature of these particular prints mark his transition from oil on canvas to the oil on wood relief paintings. Mr. Youngerman is an extraordinarily important American artist currently represented by Joan T. Washburn in NYC and formerly exhibited at the Pace Gallery. Pace Prints still shows Mr. Youngerman. His art is found in museums including the permanent collection at the Whitney."
